Shooting Stars coach Fatai Amoo has praised his players for their performance in their Premier League goalless draw with Enyimba in Calabar on Wednesday, supersport.com reports.
Amoo said the draw would help the Ibadan side to forge ahead in the competition.
“For us to hold Enyimba to a goalless draw is a huge achievement, irrespective of how other people see the result,” supersport.com quoted the ex-international as saying.
“The result is good for 3SC, the fans, supporters as well as the management.
“We must build on the result in our subsequent matches.
“Enyimba will always remain a good side given the array and quality of players in their fold. They played well but I say kudos to my players for standing their ground.
“I featured about four players that have never played in the top-flight before and they proved their worth.”
The draw at Enyimba adds the Ibadan landlords’ total points to 10 from a possible 33 in the 11-week old league. They have a game in hand against Enugu Rangers.
