The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, has confirmed the fire incident that consumed an internally-displaced persons, IDP, camp in Konduga, Borno State.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of NEMA in the North-East, Abdulkadir Ibrahim, disclosed that the IDP camp located at College of Business Administration accommodates 6,213 IDPs.
Abdulkadir said: “The fire started at about 10.40a.m. from a cooking fire, leading to the death of three people, with six injured.”
