Indications are rife that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company, WRPC, Petroleum Product Marketing Company, PPMC and the Petroleum and Pipeline Marketing Company, PPMC may be heading for a legal battle with the Dottie family of Warri over the gruesome murder of one of their sons, late Omayone Dottie.

The late Omayone Dottie, father of a year and seven months’ old twin was gruesomely shot dead in cold blood December 18, 2016 at Ifiekporo in Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State, by an undisclosed Police Officer engaged to guard the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC and its subsidiaries.

Addressing newsmen Thursday March 16 at the country home of the deceased, representative of Dottie family and uncle to late Omayone Dottie, Pastor Samuel Dottie, stated that till date “no reason has been given why he (Omayone Dottie) was murdered in cold blood”.

The Dottie family are demanding that the Delta State Commissioner of Police should “initiate criminal proceeding against the Policemen  that shot at Omayone Dottie” as well as the management of NNPC and its subsidiaries. They equally want to know the identity of the Policemen who pulled the trigger that killed late Dottie.

Meanwhile, President of  Itsekiri Native Youth Council, INYC, Comrade Weyinmi Agbateyiniro has given the Police hierarchy, the management of NNPC and its subsidiaries seven days ultimatum with effect from Thursday March 16 to resolve with the Dottie family or face “Macaba Dance with” the youths.
