Apart from usually starting plenary much later than the 10am which is the resumption time, there has been a consistent trend of disorderliness during plenary. On Tuesday, the Chief Whip, Senator Sola Adeyeye was angered by the lawmakers.
One of his duties is to ensure orderliness in the chamber. While some were discussing, others left their seats to other rows of the chamber for other reasons.
Adeyeye had to raise a point of order to berate his “distinguished” colleagues. He decried the attitude of the lawmakers who are usually putting up a disorderly attitude during plenary.
President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, who presided over the plenary, corroborated the Chief Whip’s observation. He asked those who had left their seats to return affected senators complied reluctantly.
