The Nigeria Police Force has said it would make secondary school children in the country ambassadors against crimes.
The Education Officer of the Nigerian Police Force, Mr. Rabiu Ladodo, said this on Saturday, adding that the police would identify skills in the children to improve sports in the country.
Ladodo spoke at the 4th Annual Inter-House Sports Competition of the Police Secondary School Ita Ogbolu, the Akure North Local Ares of Ondo State.
He explained that parents must begin to play their best role by keeping their children away from acts that could endangered their future career.
He stated that the children should always be reminded by their parents about the need to avoid joining bad gangs that could ruin their future.
According to him, the NPF under the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris will continue to preach against crime in the country.
The Commandant of the school, Mr. Peter Augustine, said the NPF was working tirelessly to develop the educational career of the students for the advancement of the county.
Augustine said that organising sporting activities were also part of the ways to teach the children good morals that could guide them against any criminal act in the society
He said, “Today, extra curricular activities such as sports have provided special skills and health education in the developmental process of our beloved students in the police secondary school.”
He also urged parents to sustain the talents and special skills in their children while advising them to be more vigilant about their prosperous future career.
