A 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Bahadurpura area of India by a man who claimed to be a spiritual healer, police said on Tuesday.
According to Bahadurpura Police Station Inspector, Guru Naidu, the teenage girl who was suffering from a health problem went to the house of the accused Ahmed on Monday when he allegedly raped her.
“We are investigating…no arrests have been made,” the police officer said.
Ahmed claims to offer remedies to health problems through prayers, police said.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), they said adding further probe is on.
