For budding musician, Milly Kay, the day he lost his sister would forever remain in his memory as he cried his heart out upon hearing about her death. The singer while speaking to Saturday Beats said that what pained him the most was the fact that she was also a talented singer who always supported him.
“The happiest day in my life was when I had a publishing music deal with one of the leading digital and record companies abroad. A lot of artistes don’t have this platform, so it’s a plus for me at this stage in my career. However, the saddest day in my life was when I lost my sister who was also a musician and always motivated me. It hurts to lose someone you love but life goes on. Though I miss her, I know she has my back,” he said.
He further told Saturday Beats that one of the early influences of his career includes Fela Anikulapo Kuti and he intends to tailor his music in Fela’s style.
“Fela Anikulapo Kuti happens to be the first on the list when you talk about people that have influenced my career. He tells stories with his music and that is what my fans should expect from me. We have a lot of different sounds to make everyone happy in the country. Osita Osadebe is a very melodic musician; I love his way of making you happy and ready to spend all you have for his good music.” Milly Kay said.
