The Association of Nigerian Authors, Bauchi State Chapter, will today (Thursday) hold a series of activities to mark the 2917 World Book Day.
This is coming in collaboration with the Alfalfa School of Phonics, Bauchi.
One of the activities will be a lecture titled Improving Reading Culture in Nigeria, to be delivered by a former National President of the Association, Dr Wale Okediran
According to ANA Bauchi Chairman, Kabiru Abdullahi, the event will take place at the City Of Books, in the Yankari city.
Abdullahi notes, “It will be attended by writers, literary scholars, students and other book lovers. ANA President, Mallam Denja Abdullahi, will be the special guest of honour.”
The World Book Day celebration was initiated by the UNESCO on 23rd of April, 1995 and is celebrated worldwide.
