Mobil Erha, captained by Bimbo Okubena, won the Mobil Team Tennis Championship, which ended on Saturday at the tennis section of the Ikoyi Club 1938.
Mobil Edop, led by the impressive Nishant Abbi, placed second while Mobil Ubit and Mobil Usan were semi-finalists at the event, which began on February 27.
Paul Arinze, General Manager, Public and Government Affairs, Mobil Producing Nigeria, reiterated the company’s sponsorship of the event.
“I’m impressed seeing 70-year-old men looking very young. This will continue to encourage us to sponsor the event,” Arinze stated.
The other teams at the event are Mobil Usari, Mobil Uge, Mobil Yoho and Mobil Asabo. Seventy players registered for the event, which began on a round-robin basis.
