A Magistrates’ Court sitting in Kano on Thursday ordered the remand of a 30-year-old labourer in prison custody for allegedly defiling 13-year-old boy.
Chief Magistrate Fatima Adamu ruled that Muntari Aliyu must remain in prison until the May 18 new adjournment date.
The accused, who is facing a one-count charge of unnatural offence, resides at Hagawa Village, Bichi Local Government Area in Kano State.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Aluta Mijinyawa, told the court that the accused lured his 13-year-old younger brother into his house and forcefully had unlawful sexual intercourse with him through his anus.
Mijinyawa said that the offence contravened Section 284 of the Penal Code.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty.
