    Garri on the increase

As at Tuesday, March 7, Homemakers visit to the market showed that the price of gari has increased again to N18, 000 for white while the yellow type is N19,000. This is to confirm what the gari vendor we spoke to last week said about the usual increase this season because of every year scarcity of cassava in the month of March.

If you are a lover of gari, this is the best time to buy enough. Rice is on the high side too as 50kg of the short grains increased from N19, 000 to N24,000 while the long grains is N18,000. Palm oil price also has fallen from N24,000 to N15,000, cooking gas from N4,800 to N4,600 while kerosene is now N1,200 per five litres keg. Hope to see more of these reductions next week.
