No fewer than three animals died on Friday in Dutse, Jigawa State when some camels were crushed by a car on high speed.
The car was also damaged with the front windscreen destroyed and the front of the vehicle totally smashed.
Reports said the accident occurred when the animals ran into the road and were run over by the car.
However, no human life was lost in the incident which angry residents blamed on the negligence of the camel owners who allowed their animals to roam free without control.
The police could not be immediately reached for comment.
