CALABAR—Minister of Transportation, Mr. Chibuike Amaechi, has been urged to stop alleged unnecessary interference in politics of Cross River State All Progressives Congress, APC.
A Calabar-based legal practitioner and chieftain of the party, Chief Utum Eteng, made the call, saying the minister should focus on his state’s politics.
Chief Eteng, who is also a member of Electoral Reforms Committee, gave the warning in a statement, yesterday, in Calabar.
He insisted that the party members were capable of selecting who their leaders should be, saying “Amaechi should leave Cross River State APC alone. He should contend with River State, where Wike has effectively contained him.
“He should leave members and other party stakeholder to select their leaders and stop his unnecessary interference in Cross River APC.”
